Anita Rainier and her husband, who moved into a new home a few months ago, discovered a creepy note warning them about something inside.
In a post on Reddit, the couple shared that they found the note inside a kitchen cabinet. The note read: “Do not look under the floor.” On the back of the paper, there were also a series of random numbers.
In an interview with Newsweek, Rainier explained that they moved into their new home in Seattle, Washington (USA), a few months ago and found the note while discussing renovation plans with her husband.
“It was a very well-hidden piece of paper, firmly tucked at the top of the cabinet, completely out of sight unless you bent down to look up,” she explained to Newsweek.

While the scene sounds like the plot of a horror movie that would certainly terrify most people, the couple found the whole situation rather amusing, surprisingly.
They were curious about the meaning of the note, but couldn’t find anything online related to the numbers. They tried various combinations, wondering if they could be coordinates, a zip code, or a phone number, all with no success.
They then took the case to Reddit. Some users commented on the post, insisting that the code on the back was a “library card number. Probably the name of a book.”
“Imagine you rip up the floor and find another note that just says: ‘I made you look,'” joked another user. So far, the couple has not been able to solve the mystery.
